Mark Carey is Professor of Environmental Studies and Geography at the University of Oregon. He runs the Glacier Lab for the Study of Ice and Society, collaborating with students and scientists to study environmental history, ice humanities, and climate justice. His current research is funded by the National Science Foundation, Andrew Mellon Foundation, and an upcoming National Endowment for the Humanities fellowship.
